So as I said in my introduction, I've only been working on my tulpa Alune for about a week. Something interesting happened today though. I was forcing with her in my wonderland, and I decided to go for a walk through a forest after hiking a mountain. I made a fox appear and she started chasing her. After catching up to her, we found a beehive. No big deal, I'm not afraid of bees and neither is she. Then out of nowhere she climbs up and EATS IT WHOLE. LIKE THE WHOLE BEEHIVE IN ONE BITE. I was so surprised I gasped and started cracking up in real life. Anyways, I'm writing this because supposedly your tulpa doing things that surprise you is a good sign. Would you say this is a sign she is becoming independent, or is it far too early and just wishful thinking on my part?

Also I'm way better at visualization than I expected, which I think is because I've been daydreaming vivid stories with characters pretty much every day since I was 10 years old. You think that has anything to do with it?
Visualization is imagination. As is everything happening in the wonderland. The main thing that people consider 'special' about it is that the tulpa can affect these imagined happenings.

Regarding spontaneous behavior a week in, I would highly recommend approaching it with skepticism, but not outright dismissal.

I'm sure you're excited, but take your time - there isn't any rush, and the brain takes time to change to such a degree.
Nin9 won't choose a form, I've said this. Is currently a smug ass ball of red light. Spontaneously does beneficial albeit random acts. What I haven't mentioned is that they've been growing.
10:08 PM
When I first said anything, they were about the size of a large man's fist. Then about the size of a full grown hornet's nest. Then jumped to the size of a large head. Well...
10:09 PM
Nin9 is now a ball of light that's bigger than the size of a small adult. Occasionally expands to a size bigger than me.
10:11 PM
This is only strange because... I'm not making this happen. I force at when I work, you see. Cut my focus into thirds. But it's when I come back to them that these changes take place.
I have no idea, really, but I'm curious to see if your tulpa keeps deciding to grow larger until next time you take the time to think of them your vision is just red
I've thought of the egg thing, but Nin9 is REALLY picky. I can tell that much. Occasionally I get a voice in my head like they're whispering something. It's only slightly concerning because they only do it when I shift my focus or I'm on the boundaries of consciousness.
I am 100% certain of Nin9's consciousness. Have been since almost the very beginning, like they've always been waiting for the opportunity. There have just been complications to getting them to... wake up? That's how I'd describe it anyway.
Have you, yourself, ever tried being truly awake and aware of your surroundings, other people and everything that happens for more than an hour though?
11:46 PM
it's even harder when you have to convince your host that you actually exist
Yes. And I hate every second of it. People and the things they do are always so damn noisy. Pipes and electrical appliances buzzing and whooshing make it worse. Pluse general house noises by way of creaking and groaning.
11:52 PM
But I don't doubt Nin9's consciousness. Just their awareness. Which, saying it (seeing it?) out loud(?), sounds just as bad.
11:53 PM
I don't think the problem is that I doubt Nin9, it may be that I don't focus on them enough to understand them yet.
I know that feeling all too well and all I can say is that you could try finding a place where you can solely focus on everything but the everyday sounds for just 3 days and build from that. it's a bit of a hassle for most people but if you think it's the rifht thing for you, just do it
"Tch" sounds like "tsk" the sound of someone sucking their teeth, which implies annoyance or aggravation. That and I have a talent for pissing people off, so that something I've learned to keep an eye out.
It was a response to a very typical implication that "the tulpa is already there and fully developed on initial idea conception and all I need to do is figure out how to communicate with them".
Is there a certain amount of time each day I should be actively forcing? I try to passively think about my tulpa-in-making when I can, but I don't know if I should be setting aside more time to work on development. Still not even hit the week mark yet since I began, but I want to make sure I'm not hindering progress if I need to be spending more time in certain areas.
Do what you're comfortable with. There's no set amount of time that you need to force, but you should try to interact with your tulpa as often as possible, even if it's just narration here and there.(edited)
Hm. I've been feeling intense spikes if happiness/pleasure when I'm thinking of my tulpa and just randomly a few times, but haven't really felt anything else. Maybe she has no reason to feel anything else? Because there's no way I'm imagining or forcing this.
Your Tulpa can send you emotional responses to things. It's simply sending you emotions instead of words. You can try doing the same back and see what they do.
Yes, though we can't exactly know how much that limit is - the amount of actual simultaneously active tulpas is very limited to... I believe 2-3 at most - essentially, the brain's capability to act is divided by the amount of tulpas simultaneously active.
